OREANDA-NEWS. September 23, 2010. The meeting of delegations of En+ Group, National Development and Reform Commission of China and National Energy Commission of China took place in Irkutsk during the 6th Baikal economic forum. The meeting also involved the management of Russia-China economic and Investment cooperation Center.

The following persons participated in the meeting: Igor Rogachev, Member of the Federation Council of Russia, the Director of Russia-China economic and Investment cooperation Center, former ambassador of Russia in China; Andrey Likhachev, Deputy CEO of En+ Group; Vladimir Kirukhin, Director for Government Relations of En+ Group; Alexander Sergeev, Director for Energy of En+ Group; Evgeny Fedorov, CEO of JSC EvroSibEnergo. As for the Chinese delegation, Zhang Gobao, Vice Chairman of National Development and Reform Commission, Director of National Energy Commission; Van Huazhang, Assistant Director of the State Committee’s Department for Northwest of China revival; Ying Zheng, the assistant director of the China’s Russian Research Center were involved in the meeting.

The parties discussed the cooperation possibilities in project realization in the energy area on the territory of Russia and the perspectives of Chinese companies’ participation in JSC EvroSibEnergo investment projects. The sides also agreed on activating the dialogue between countries and organization of a series of meetings of the CEOs of En+ Group, JSC EvroSibEnergo and China’s and Russia’s largest energy companies in order to define the priority directions of cooperation.

“Russia and China are actively cooperating in the energy area and the mutual interest of the largest energy companies of our countries is absolutely righteous taking into consideration the geographical closeness of the main assets of China and JSC EvroSibEnergo. We are sure that the dialogue has been started very timely and will most assuredly lead to the realization of the joint and mutually beneficial projects”, Andrey Likhachev, Deputy CEO of En+ Group noted.

“We approve of the start of cooperation with Russia’s largest private energy company and are sure in the perspectives of such cooperation”, Zhang Gobao pointed out.

“We think that this project will become one of the largest energy projects for Russia and China and will be a vivid example of neighboring countries’ cooperation”, – Igor Rogachev commented upon the results of the meeting.
