OREANDA-NEWS. September 22, 2010. Azerbaijan has curtailed seriously farming export this year.

The State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan (SCC) informs that over January-August 2010 country’s export of vegetables and fruits decreased by 22.66% versus the index for first eight months of 2009. It made up only 0.43% (USD 59.979 million) of the country’s overall export (USD 13.948 bn).

In 2009, Azerbaijan’s export of vegetables and fruits fell by 10.93% versus the 2008 figure. As of 1st January 2010, export of this output made up 1.31% (USD 192.55 million) of Azerbaijan’s overall export (USD 14.698 bn).
