OREANDA-NEWS. September 22, 2010. The Conference was opened by the General Director of Gazprom VNIIGAZ, P.G. Tsybulskiy. The participants of the Conference saw the presentations of the Deputy Head of the Energy Committee of the State Duma V.V. Zinovyev, the President of the International Association for Natural Gas Vehicles (IANGV), Gabrielle Gozzi, and the General Manager of NGVA Europe, Manuel Lage. The Conference brought together 218 delegates from 104 companies worldwide. During the Conference the participants exchanged experience in natural gas use as motor fuel in Russia and abroad; production and operation of NGVs; saw the exhibition of gas cylinder vehicles organized on the territory of Gazprom VNIIGAZ with participation of KAMAZ, AvtoVAZ, Mercedes and Volkswagen.

The final day of the Week of efficient gas use, 17 September 2010, after closing of the Conference “Gas into engines-2010”, will see the start of the Caravan of gas-cylinder vehicles on the route “Moscow-Ryazan-Penza-Talyatti-Naberezhnie Chelni-Kazan-Nizhniy Novgorod”. The Caravan participants were welcomed by the Deputy Chairman of the Management Committee of Gazprom, A.G. Ananenkov, the Member of the Management Committee of Gazprom, the Head of Gas Transportation, Underground Storage and Utilization Department, O.E. Aksyutin, the Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council of the State Duma of the RF, the President of Russian Gas Club, V.V. Yazev.

The Caravan is organized by Gazprom, Gazprom VNIIGAZ and National Gas Vehicle Association, Russia (NGVRUS). Light and heavy NGVs from leading domestic and foreign manufacturers will take part in the Caravan. These manufacturers comprise: KaMAZ, Volkswagen, Mercedes, Iveco, Opel, Scania, GAZ, LIAZ, VAZ and other. Meetings and professional communication will be held at the facilities of major Russian automobile manufacturers – VAZ, UAZ, KAMAZ and GAZ.
