Moldova and Investment Bank of Europe Council Negotiate on Credit
OREANDA-NEWS. September 22, 2010. As it was informed by Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Vasile Bumacov at the meeting with producers of table grapes, the agreement is to be signed till the end of the year. At the same time, the producers expressed their support of the MAFI actions on attraction of another concessional credit for the sector to the amount of near USD100 million from the Japanese government.
Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Valeriu Cosarciuc said that the government intended to help the agricultural producers in creation of standard plantations in different regions of the country. “This will be a place where the producers will accumulate the knowledge and obtain an access to the new technologies,” the minister told.
The participants of the forum asked the government for assistance in creation in Chisinau of the modern agro-food center for storage, packing and certification of farmers’ products, meant for internal and external consumption. The minister said that this center would start working in the next year. As to the concrete assistance provided to the farmers, Valeriu Cosarciuc noted that, pursuant to the Subsidy Regulations, the viticulturists, planting the vineyards of table kinds, would get 30 thousand lei per 1 ha.
Another measure – compensation of investment in construction of cold stores and packing houses for which the government allocates 40% of investment volume and 400 thousand lei for united planters.
