OREANDA-NEWS. September 20, 2010. Ingosstrakh is the official partner of National TV Contest TEFI-2010 and All-Russian TV Contest TEFI-Region 2010.

Both contests are organized by the Russian Television Academy Fund.

National TV Contest TEFI is held annually since 1994. This is the sixteenth year. The winners are always awarded a bronze Orpheus statue made by world-famous sculptor Ernst Neizvestny.

The participants of TEFI are TV content producers: TV companies, channels, studios, production centers, associations etc. This year, 623 works participate in the contests, 114 (about 23%) works more than last year, and 150 (about 32%) works more than in 2008. The increase in the number of works is due to the arrival of new players in the market of TV producers and to filling the gap in equipment and content between several central and regional broadcasters. Moreover, the importance of TEFI, which never had an analogue during all the years of its existence, grows from year to year.

Awards will be given to the winners of TEFI-2010 in two stages: The TEFI-2010 Official Award Ceremony "PROFESSIONS" will be held on September 20, 2010 in Moscow, in the hotel Renaissance Moscow Monarch Center; the TEFI-2010 Official Award Ceremony "PEOPLE" will be held on September 25, 2010.

TEFI-Region is held since 2002. It was established as an integral part of the annual National Contest TEFI.

The contest is held under the auspices of the Federal Agency for Press and Mass Media in two main categories: Information TV and Educational and Entertainment TV. According to the contest rules, participants are TV broadcasters or producers (TV companies, studios, production centers, associations etc.).

TEFI-Region finals have been held a different Russian city each year: Yekaterinburg, Irkutsk, Kazan, Moscow, Nizhniy Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Orenburg, Perm, Rostov-on-Don, Samara, Saint Petersburg, Sochi, Stavropol, Surgut, Ufa, Khanty-Mansiysk, Chelyabinsk, Cheboksary, Yugorsk, Yaroslavl.

One of the most important features of the contest was the associated educational program: trainings, seminars, master classes, organized by the Russian Television Academy Fund as well for young representatives of regional TV companies with the participation of national TV stars.

The jury of each category of the contest consisted of members if the Russian Television Academy in the relevant segment, which improves the evaluation of the participating works. One of the most important components of the final stage is the meeting between the participants and the members of the jury, when the works participating in the contest are discussed.

Traditionally, each stage of the contest ends with the Official Award Ceremony, during which the finalists are given commemorative diplomas of TEFI-Region participants. During the final stage, at the Official Ceremony the names of TEFI-Region winners are revealed. The winners, as well as the winners of National Contest TEFI, receive the main TV award: the bronze Orpheus.

TEFI-Region 2010 final events will be held:

- in February 2011 in Ulyanovsk, for the Information TV category;

- in March 2011 in Voronezh, for nominations “Educational and Entertainment TV”.

The finals of the contest will be held in April 2011 in Taganrog.
