OREANDA-NEWS. September 20, 2010. In conference hall of Omsk regional business-incubator was held a plenary meeting “Mechanisms for Investments Attraction for Innovative Companies of Omsk Region”. The meeting was concluded by visiting of production sites of “Group of Companies “Titan”, CJSC, reported the press-centre of Titan.

Event of such format in Russia is held for the first time. The organizer – Company Limited “Omsk Investment Company”*, participants – innovative companies of Omsk region, and “Titan” is one of them. The investments topic was opened by the representatives of the leading financial institutions of development of the Russian Federation – Public Company “Russian Venture Company”, Public Company “Russian Bank of Development”, state corporation “Rosnanotech”, Public Company Investbank “Discovery” and other participants.

The speakers reported on the ways of attraction of capital into projects by way of cooperation with development institutes of Russia, demonstrated the scheme of work with innovative companies, and drew illustrative examples of successfully realized projects.

“The government has always been setting the task of picking for each company in accordance with its requirements the practical kit of activities which will help the company to develop. I think that today’s meeting is evident for completion of this task” – Igor Murayev, Minister of Economy of Omsk region, expressed his opinion on the event. Dionis Gordin, member of Coordinating Committee of the innovations and Investments Market (RII), chairman of the committee on direct and venture investments at Coordinating Council RII MMVB – Expert council of CJSC “FB MMVB”, noticed that in the regions there is very high innovative potential: “Our task is to capitalize that potential. Omsk region is the first subject of the Russian Federation where we start this effort”.

Within the framework of the project “PARK: Industrial-Agricultural Regional Clusters” realized by the “Group of Companies “Titan”, CJSC, on the territory of the region the infrastructure is being created which allows to actively interact with state investment companies. The company masters cooperation with state corporation “Bank of Development and Foreign Economic Activity (Vnesheconombank)” on conditions of private-state partnership. Further the experience of “Titan” will be useful for the whole Omsk region. One of the projects realized by the company together with the regional administration – creation of industrial park in the vicinity of polypropylene production factory – presupposes attraction of large quantity of business-community representatives for participation, which will positively affect the whole economy of the region.

After the plenary meeting the representatives of ROSNANO, experts of institutes of development and organizers of the event visited production sites of “Group of Companies “Titan”, CJSC. During the trip the heads of companies told the guests about problems, plans, industrial successes, construction sites. Guests asked about the technological details, had interest in plans on the increase of energetic capacity (at the same time “throwing out a feeler” on the future possible tenders) and shared positive opinions about what they saw.

*The company was established in the spring of 2010 with support of state corporation “Rosnanotech” within the framework of Agreement “On Cooperation Between the Government of Omsk Region and CJSC “MMVB” as a new tool of innovative projects promotion on the territory of Omsk region. Director General of “Omsk Investment Company” is Olga Nikiforova. Nowadays Company Limited “Omsk Investment Company” is occupied in the sphere of “packing” of plants for production of ethyl tertiary-butyl ether (ETBE) and polycrystalline silicon. It is supposed that Omsk investment company will accompany innovative enterprises of industrial park which will be built in the vicinity of polypropylene plant.
