OREANDA-NEWS. September 20, 2010. An international two-day exhibition-forum “Oil, Gas, Fuel and Energy Complex” was opened in the city of Tyumen. The general partner of this exhibition-forum is TNK-BP. Valery Yazev, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma (Parliament); Alexander Beletsky, Deputy Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation President in the Ural Federal District; Vladimir Yakushev, Governor of the Tyumen Region; and Oleg Chemezov, Vice President of OJSC TNK-BP Management took part in the opening ceremony, reported the press-centre of TNK-BP.

Valery Yazev said at the plenary session that “the positive experience of the Tyumen Region in integration of innovations in the oil and gas complex is very important. We all understand that successful reproduction of the mineral resource base requires integration of innovations and advanced technologies. Radical acceleration of technological modernization in the fuel and energy complex will raise the level of associated industries.”

Vladimir Vladimirovich Yakushev, Governor of the Tyumen Region, expressed his confidence that the international innovative exhibition-forum “Oil, Gas, Fuel and Energy Complex” will become a serious platform for promotion of innovative technologies in the oil and gas complex. “I am sure that our interaction in the framework of this forum will be mutually beneficial and the two days spent here will time well spent,” emphasized he.

According to Oleg Chemezov, Vice President of OJSC TNK-BP Management, TNK-BP is striving for creating an open platform for constructive exchange of information and experience among experts of the fuel and energy complex at both regional and federal levels. “I have no doubt that we will attain this goal in the framework of this exhibition-forum, because the experts that will take part in discussions and round tables here have already done and continue to do much for development of the oil and gas industry in our country. Their reports and opinions will be recorded and made available for thousands of specialists everywhere from educational institutions to large geological, oil production, and service enterprises. Most experts will make an emphasis in these speeches and reports on innovations, which will set the pace in development of all branches of the economy in the nearest decade,” stressed Oleg Chemezov.

The round table meeting dedicated to “Innovations in Development and Production. Enhanced Oil Recovery Methods” was supported by TNK-BP. Alexander Timchuk, Deputy General Director and Research and Development Director of LLC “Tyumen Petroleum Research Center” (subsidiary of TNK-BP) was the discussion moderator at this meeting.
