Freight Trains Resume Service through Transdniestria
OREANDA-NEWS. September 20, 2010. Passenger and transit freight trains resume service through Transdniestria from October 1, 2010. This is stipulated by the temporary agreement, signed by the administrations of Moldavian, Ukrainian and Russian railways, valid until December 31, 2012.
The temporary agreement was signed at the meeting of General Director Ukrzaliznytsia Michael Kostiuk and General Director SE Railway of Moldova Ilie Turcan. The parties agreed to resume the run of Chisinau-Odessa train of Moldavian railway formation from October 1, 2010 and organize the service of transit freight trains on the section Cuciurgan-Causeni and passenger trains №65/66 Moscow-Chisinau, №595/596 Moscow-Chisinau, №51/52 Saratov-Varna and №642/641 Chisinau-Odessa on the section Cuciurgan-Bender-2.
Besides, they have signed the methods of calculation for the work of locomotive and locomotive crew between Ukrzaliznytsia and Railway of Moldova.
