Belarus’ Chemical and Petrochemical Output up 14.7% in January-August
OREANDA-NEWS. September 17, 2010. In January-August 2010, the production of chemical and petrochemical products in Belarus made up Br10.372 trillion, up 14.7% over the same period in 2009.
In January-August Belarus manufactured 4,220 million tons of mineral fertilizers, up 89.9% over the same period a year ago. The production of potash fertilizers grew 2.24 times to 3.576 million tons the output of nitrogen fertilizers totaled 514,300 tons, up 1%. Belarus produced 130,500 tons of phosphate fertilizers (up 8.6%).
The output of cord tissue increased by 21.5% to 47 million square meters, that of chemical fiber and yarn – by 22.2% to 151,800 tons. The production of artificial resin and plastics made up 231,200 tons, down 1.5% compared with the same period last year.
In January-August Belarus produced 2.198 million auto tyres (down 4.3% as against the same period in 2009), 759,100 truck tyres (up 16.8%), 358,400 agricultural tyres (up 10.9%). The production of paint materials shrank by 84.1% to 128,300 tons.
As of 1 September 2010, the stockpiles of ready products at chemical and petrochemical enterprises of Belarus ranged from 0.1% to 51.7% as against the average monthly production output.
