Power Machines Company Is to Procure Equipment for Vitebskaya CHP
OREANDA-NEWS. September 17, 2010. Kaluga Turbine Works (KTZ, OJSC), a part of Power Machines concern, signed a contract with Belarus-based Vitebskenergo republican unitary enterprise for the procurement of power equipment destined for Vitebskaya CHP.
Under the terms of the contract, KTZ is to manufacture the PT-40/50-8,8-1,0 steam turbine rated at 50 MW and is also to deliver a generator produced by Elektrotyazhmash – Privod, LLC (Lysva, Perm Region). The scope of Kaluga Works’ supply includes supervision over the installation of all the equipment as well as training for the plant’s personnel. The turbine delivery is scheduled for August 2011, whereas a generator, condenser, and other equipment are supposed to be shipped by KTZ a month before this date.
The KTZ’s turbine is destined to replace one of outdated machines with the capacity of 35 MW installed at Vitebskaya CHP. The commissioning of the plant’s first stage dates back to 1953. At present, rated capacity of the plant is 75 MW.
KTZ has recently manufactured a set including three turbines of the same type for Novolipetsk Steel, OJSC.
