Freight One Increases Market Share in Freight Forwarding Services
OREANDA-NEWS. September 16, 2010. In the first eight months of 2010, the Novosibirsk branch dispatched about 3.8 million metric tons of freight under forwarding contracts from stations of the West-Siberian Railway, which is double the figure achieved during the same period of the last year. The main direction of the haulage was to Japan and China through the ports of the Far East.
"Since January, the branch saw its monthly increase in expediting reach 50,000 metric tons. The number of freight types being exported is also on the rise. The branch plans to forward another 2 million metric tons of freight by the end of the year. I think that our cooperation with major foreign forwarding companies, combined with Freight One’s extensive branch network, will enable us to accomplish this task," said Yevgeni Dolzhenko, Director of Freight One’s Novosibirsk branch.
Freight One currently forwards freight internationally for about 15 companies in the coal, petrochemical and food industries. The branch dispatches freight for export not only to ports, but also through overland border crossings throughout Russia to many countries of Europe and the CIS as well as China, Mongolia and other countries.
