SINOHYDRO to Implement Road Infrastructure Project in Moldova
OREANDA-NEWS. September 16, 2010. As it was informed in the press service of the government, the agreement on execution of works of the first project, launched by SYNOYDRO in Moldova, was signed after the meeting of Moldavian delegation, headed by Prime Minister Vladimir Filat, with the leadership of the Sinohydro corporation, in Beijing. On behalf of Moldova the agreement was signed by Deputy Minister of Transport and Road Infrastructure Boris Gherasim.
Sinohydro President Fan Jixiang noted that this year, the corporation's experts made several visits to Moldova and met Vladimir Filat. "Cooperation with the Republic of Moldova is very important for us and we want to carry out successful projects in your country," he said. Fan Jixiang assured that the Sinohydro corporation is ready to provide the turnkey projects, and thus able to project, carry out and turn over the finished work.
The SINOHYDRO President told that he would like to start the implementation of the project in Moldova this year. “We can become a bridge between China and Moldova, by implementing projects of common interest," Fan Jixiang specified. In his turn, Vladimir Filat expressed hope that this first project, being the biggest one carried out by a Chinese company in Moldova so far, would be an important step in the Moldova-SINOHYDRO collaboration.
The Premier also noted that Moldova was interested in implementation of projects in fields like: agriculture, energy, IT. The annual turnover of SINOHYDRO corporation reaches USD3 billion. The company implements the projects in more than 50 countries and has 13 thousand employees abroad.
