Acron Group Supports FAS Rules for Open Access to Potash Supply
OREANDA-NEWS. September 15, 2010. Acron Group wholeheartedly supports the rules for non-discriminatory potash access recommended by the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS). The rules would affect potash supplies to complex mineral fertiliser manufacturers. Adoption of the rules will help prevent monopoly prices for raw materials and create a clear and transparent mechanism for a mutually beneficial relationship between potash suppliers and fertiliser producers over the next five years.
Acron’s Senior Vice President Vladimir Kunitsky comments:
“We approve the FAS decision to implement rules on non-discriminatory potash access. The FAS has been always sensitive to ongoing conflicts between potash suppliers and complex mineral fertiliser producers regarding sales volumes and prices. This time the FAS has issued specific recommendations that will ensure long-term fixed tonnage supply contracts based on a transparent pricing scheme. This will have a positive impact on the overall industry and encourage long-term operations development planning.”
