OREANDA-NEWS. September 15, 2010. The Gazprom headquarters hosted today a working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Company’s Management Committee and Ulrich Brandenburg, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany to Russia.

The parties addressed the current state of and prospects for the Russian-German cooperation in the gas sector. The parties highly evaluated the progress in the following joint projects: offshore Nord Stream gas pipeline construction, Yuzhno-Russkoye field exploitation and Urengoy field’s Achimov deposits development.

Alexey Miller and Ulrich Brandenburg expressed a unanimous opinion that successful development of the energy partnership was a strategically crucial task in the bilateral relations between Russia and Germany.
