It was signed at V meeting of Intergovernmental Moldavian-Chinese Commission for Trade- Economic Cooperation and provides for allocation of 20 million yuan (near USD3 million). Out of this sum USD500 thousand will channeled to support the reconstruction of houses, destroyed by the floods in Moldova.

Besides, they discussed the bilateral collaboration in trade-economic and investment sectors, creation of industrial parks, agriculture and winemaking sectors, transport and road infrastructure, labor and social protection, construction and regional development, telecommunication and IT, etc.

The Chinese side supported the proposal on improvement and diversification of structure of Moldavian export in China in order to trim the bilateral trade-economic balance. Export and promotion of Moldavian wines and alcoholic products on the Chinese market were of special interest for both countries. The organization of 4 wine festivals in different cities of China was noted in this context.

At the same time, the protocol, providing for favorable general frameworks of collaboration intensification in the above mentioned sectors, was signed. It should be noted that the volume of external trade between Moldova and China in January-June 2010 amounted to USD131,4 million. As compared to the same period of 2009 it increased by 28,2% as a result of growth of both import and export.

The import of goods from China to Moldova in the given period amounted to USD130,6 million, increasing by 28,2% as compared to the same period of 2009. The largest share in the total volume of import fell to equipment and electric accessories, textile and plastic materials and their derivatives.
