Izhorskiye Zavody Completed Deployment of SAP ERP
OREANDA-NEWS. September 14, 2010. Izhorskiye Zavody, a part of OMZ Group, along with SAP and T-Systems have successfully completed integration of SAP ERP system into the production process.
Successful synchronization of the Intermeh PDM-system (responsible for production process management) and SAP ERP (responsible for resource management) and creation of a single interface between the two systems make the project unique.
Creation of the new interface allows to receive unified reference lists for materials, workplaces, technological process operations, and to automatically create production order networks using the PDM-system to obtain data on the item structure and technical processes. It ensures coordination between design and technological data and quantitative information on material costs, and between technological operation norms and quantitative information on work costs. This allows for correct planning of actual costs on all stages of the manufacturing cycle, taking into account material, production and labour resources. The system provides the opportunity to rapidly react to all changes in design and technological documentation, as well as to balance the capacity, plan the production program and material requirements.
Key specialization of Izhorskiye Zavody is engineering and manufacturing of long-cycle equipment for the nuclear and petrochemical industries, involving complex production cycles. Manufacturing processes can take as long as three years, including assembly, guarantee and post-guarantee support. The system provides necessary degree of control and accounting on all contract stages, increasing operational efficiency, process standardization and the level of customer service, which, in the end, contributes to the increase in competitiveness of the company.
