OREANDA-NEWS. September 14, 2010. 21-year old wireman Vasily Sidorov was the youngest participant; foreman Alexander Kozlov was the best at the 2nd stage "Release of a Victim".

IDGC of North-West's team occupied the sixth place out of the twelve places at the All-Russia competitions of the professional skill of high-voltage power lines maintenance brigades of IDGC Holding’s distribution grids. It scored 961 points out of 1,120 possible points. IDGC of North-West was represented by the team of the branch "Komienergo" at the competitions of the professional skill of high-voltage power lines maintenance brigades of IDGC Holding.

The team of IDGC of Volga (1,199.5 points) was the winner of the competitions, like last year.

The judges of the 6th stage "Removal of an extraneous object (a thrown over object) from the wires of 110 kV overhead line using the load-lifting mechanism" became the best judicial brigade: Yury Ignatenko - chief of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region's technical inspection department, Leonid Belousov - chief of IDGC of South's technical inspection department, and Yury Udalov - main inspecting engineer of IDGC of North-West's technical inspection department.
Additional prizes were also awarded. 21-year old wireman of IDGC of North-West’s overhead lines service Vasily Sidorov was the youngest participant.  
The videoclip of IDGC of North-West on the advanced and modern technologies and devices for performance of works during operation of 35-110 kV electric power overhead lines was recognized the best at the All-Russia competitions of professional skills of IDGC Holding's high-voltage specialists . The head of the team - deputy chief engineer of IDGC of North-West Gennady Aleksandrov was awarded the diploma for winning in the nomination.

The videoclip of 3 minutes and 30 seconds in duration shows new technologies applied in the company during works at power lines - mounting turn stair of type TRM, laser ranger Vertex Laser L402 and spiral reinforcement. The overall objective of introduction of new technologies is safe works production.
