PM of Ukraine: Scope of Pension Reform - to Ensure Decent Life
OREANDA-NEWS. September 13, 2010. Pension reform in Ukraine is inevitable, it should preview a system of incentives for a person to show a desire to retire, at least a year later. The Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said this today at a meeting focused on socio-economic development of ARC in Simferopol.
"The essence of the pension reform is to make a decent pensions, with which one can live but not to exist" - the Prime Minister said. This does not mean, Mykola Azarov said, that the government wants to solve on population account problem of the Pension Fund filling. "We have a task to shift to such pension system, which exists for many years in European countries, which experience we do study now" - he said.
Mykola Azarov in particular said, that special personalized accounts opening is previewed, for citizens charges accumulation so that the person could personally form the pension during the working activity.
"To receive wages in envelopes will be unprofitable, because people do not want to steal from themselves" - the head of the Ukrainian Government said.
According to him, the opposition speculates, including issues of pension reform in Ukraine, which still has no place.
