Belorussia Suggests Raising Compensations for Low-Salaried Workers
OREANDA-NEWS. September 10, 2010. The Belarusian government suggests increasing compensations for low-salaried workers in the public sector, including young specialists, medics, teachers, culture and social security workers Prime Minister Sergei Sidorsky said when reporting to President Alexander Lukashenko on the performance of the national economy, the press service of the president said.
The second phase of increasing wages in the countries is the anticipated rise in the first class wage rate on November 1 to 180,000 Belarusian rubles (Br) from 90,000 rubles for all categories of workers in the public sector.
As a result, average monthly salaries and wages of the public sector employees will reach the equivalent of USD 405-410, the press service said.
