OREANDA-NEWS. September 10, 2010. Regal, the AIM-listed oil and gas explorer focusing on Ukraine and Romania fields, plugs and abandons the E-1 Sagna well in Romania, the company representative announced on Sep 9. Having drilled to a total depth of nearly 1 km, no gas inflow has been established. Regal is going to carry out a strategic review of its Romanian assets.

Millennium Capital considers the news as negative for the company. Regal has discharged its obligations with respect to the Barlad Concession, a large exploration and production block in the north east of Romania, in which Regal holds a 100% interest.
