Someone looking for lending or saving options available at local banks can now see this information right in Yandex’ search results. Yandex will also advice on the loan rates for a used car or tell how to get a mortgage without indemnity guarantee.

To help Yandex users easily choose the best service offer, the company rolled out a detailed banking service search Yandex.Amenities that allows to specify search criteria for the desired product. A prospective student, for instance, can first learn about consumer credit interest rates on Yandex Search and then go to Yandex.Amenities to choose the best student loan program. Yandex.Amenities will provide all the information necessary to make a decision. Using the service, one can calculate projected overpayment on credit or expected interest income. The service will also show on a map the closest branch offering a specified product.

‘The user’s interest for banking products has been growing recently,’ says Vladimir Gorovoy, head of the Yandex.Amenities service. ‘In the past year, the number of search queries on Yandex about loans or deposits has grown by approximately 40%. To respond to this demand, we gathered information about banking services and structured it on Yandex.Amenities so that our users could conveniently choose the most suitable product. In future, Yandex.Amenities will expand to include other kinds of services.’

Currently, Yandex.Amenities shows offers from 78 banks, including six Ukrainian. Yandex encourages banks to join its special partner program. Joining participants will be able to offer their services to multimillion user audience of Yandex by sharing their product details on Yandex.Amenities free of charge.
