OREANDA-NEWS. September 08, 2010. The competitions of IDGC Holding's high-voltage lines specialists are held from 6 September through 10 September in Penza.

The team of "Komienergo" represents IDGC of North-West at the competitions of the professional skill of high-voltage power lines maintenance brigades of IDGC Holding's distribution grids. The competitions are held from 6 September through 10 September in Penza.

Komi energy specialists represent the company at the All-Russia level for the first time. The brigade of the Lines Service of the Industrial Division "Southern Electric Grids", having won the competitions of professional skills among the divisions of Komienergo in May, and having occupied the first place in the competition of high-voltage lines specialists of IDGC of North-West's branches in Vologda at the beginning of June. According to the estimations of judges, they have shown good arrangement of preparation for the competitions of the team as a whole, and a high level of discipline and responsibility of each member of the team in particular.

The competitions in Penza are preceded by careful two-month preparation. The company developed the program, according to which seven specialists were charged with being responsible for each of the seven forthcoming stages. The theoretical preparation of the team according to the applicable rules, instructions and norms was carried out using a computer on the basis of the software ASOP-Expert. The practical part of the forthcoming stages was trained on the training ground and using special training simulators.

Psychologists worked with the team throughout the whole period. They held training exercises aimed to maintain the positive emotional spirit of the personnel and increase the level of cooperation and psychological compatibility of the team members.

More modern equipment (vacuum immobilization mattress and scoop stretchers for safe transportation of victims, and a mask for safe performance of artificial ventilation of lungs) was purchased specially for the stage of rendering the first aid to the victim.

Readiness and level of equipment of the team "Komienergo" for participation in the competitions of professional skill was appreciated by Gennady Alexandrov, Deputy Chief Engineer for Maintenance and Technical Development of IDGC of North-West. He is a member of the delegation as the head of the team.
