PM of Ukraine: By End of Year Debt on VAT Refunds to Be Out of Red
OREANDA-NEWS. September 07, 2010. Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has promised that by the end of 2010 debt on value added tax reimbursement will be completely liquidated. He has stated this at the celebrations on the occasion of the Entrepreneur’s Day. "The Government has stabilized the financial situation in the country, coped with external and internal debts of the predecessors. Now we have an absolutely stable situation. We finally got a chance to fully meet obligations, in particular, to the business. There will be no VAT debt until the end of the year", said the Head of the Government, adding that the Cabinet has already issued VAT-bonds at 11 billion UAH.
Mykola Azarov has informed businessmen that during the public discussion of a Tax Code, a government commission has processed more than five thousand proposals. "You should have no doubt that the Government has no other task than to create incentives for the rapid and extensive renovation of our country", he stressed.
According to the Prime Minister, the Government is ready for constructive criticism of a Tax Code by the MPs. "We are open to criticism. We submit the project to the Verkhovna Rada. There you will hear a lot of criticisms - we are ready for this and focus on taking into account all the comments".
Mykola Azarov has presented the Government awards to the entrepreneurs.
