OREANDA-NEWS. September 6, 2010. The retail trade turnover in Uzbekistan was 9.58 trillion soums in January-June 2010 or 110.3% to the level of January-June 2009.

In the structure of retail trade turnover the share of food products was 49% and that of non-food products – 51% (in January-June 2009 – 50% and 50% respectively).

In January-June 2010 the retail trade turnover of trade enterprises amounted to 4.09 trillion soums or increased by 10.6% versus January-June 2009. In the structure of the retail trade the turnover of trade enterprises was 42.7%.

In the total turnover of trade enterprises the share of the retail trade turnover of trade enterprises in the rural area was 23.1%.

The sale of agricultural products and livestock in dekhkan markets has increased by 11.1% and reached 3.42 trillion soums, the share of sales in the retail trade turnover was 35.7%.

The goods turnover of the informal sector (commodity and specialized markets) was 2.07 trillion soums or 8.4% higher than in January-June 2009. The share of the informal sector in the total volume of goods turnover was 21.6%.
