IDGC of North-West Spent RUR 638.9 mln on Repair Works
OREANDA-NEWS. September 06, 2010. The works of clearing routes for power lines of all voltage classes are performed ahead of schedule.
IDGC of North-West carries out active work preparing the grid complex for the autumn and winter maximum of loadings.
"Despite the abnormal weather conditions of this summer, passage of the strongest hurricanes across the territory of the North-West Region and, as a consequence, breakdown of a part of the equipment, the repair program is performed as planned, and certain works are carried out ahead of schedule," the chief of IDGC of North-West's operation and repair department Oleg Temerov said.
As from the beginning of the year, the company's expenses for performance of the repair program have been totaled RUR 638.9 million. For today, 106% of the 110-150 kV OLs repair works were carried out. The works were completed at 850.5 km of high voltage power lines in all branches of the company.
The repairing activity at low voltage lines are held by IDGC of North-West ahead of schedule. The volume of repairs represented lines is 2.4 thousand km of 6-20 kV OLs (105%) and 637.9 km of 0.4 kV OLs (104%). The scheduled repairs of 13 transformers have been completed, which also exceeds the targets (130%), as well as the major overhaul of 338 switches (105%) was performed. The works for clearing the routes for power lines of all voltage classes are carried out ahead of schedule.
