OREANDA-NEWS. September 3, 2010. Belarusians’ real incomes [adjusted for inflation] rose 8% in January-June 2010, the National Statistics Committee said in a press release.

Individual incomes rose 15.1% on the year in the first six months, while consumer prices increased 6.6%. As a result, incomes rose 8% in real terms.

Incomes per capita increased 15.3% in January-June, or 8.2% in real terms.

Compensations accounted for 56.2% of total incomes in the first half of the year, up from 56.3% in January-June 2009.

Social transfers – pensions, allowances and study grants – accounted for 20.5%, up from 20.4%, and other incomes [from sales of farm produce and entrepreneurial activities, etc.] for 20.4%, down from 20.6%, and incomes from property – yield on deposit and dividends – for 2.9%, up from 2.7%.

Some 79.4% of all incomes were spent on payments for commodities and services, up from 76.2%.
