OREANDA-NEWS. September 03, 2010. Toshkent Qogozi, paper production enterprise, has been launched on the basis of the bankrupt Uzbek Qogozi company.

The National Bank of Uzbekistan provided financial support to revive the enterprise and modernize the production.

The bankrupt company was transferred to the bank’s balance in 2009, and in May 2010, a new company with a charter capital of UZS 22 billion was launched.

Toshkent Qogozi produces paper and carton from recycled paper. Three paper production machines have been relaunched, and now the notebooks and corrugated paper lines are being repaired.

The annual capacity of the new enterprise comprises 20,000 tons of paper products.

According to the NBU, the bank will make additional investments in Toshkent Qogozi to revive buildings and infrastructure, purchase spare parts and further modernize the plant by the year-end.
