IDGC of North-West Spent RUR 22.1mn for Fire Safety
OREANDA-NEWS. September 2, 2010. The number of fires at the company’s energy facilities has reduced almost 3 times since 2008
IDGC of North-West annually spends around RUR 20 million for actions to mitigate the risks during within the period of the fire-dangerous season.
In 2010, despite abnormally high temperatures and raised risks of fire, the company’s branches took all of the necessary measures which provided maximum reliable protection of electric grid objects against ignitions and fires.
The positive dynamics have been observed in IDGC of North-West for the last three years as to reduction of the events related to ignitions and fires at energy facilities. There were 8 such events in 2008, 5 events in 2009 and 3 events from the beginning of this year at IDGC of North-West’s facilities.
The charges stipulated in the company’s 2010 business plan for provision of fire safety of electric grid objects will amount to RUR 22.1 million.
IDGC of North-West pays much attention to preventive maintenance and improvement of professional skills of the specialists responsible for fire safety. A number of the company’s specialists passed a special training in the educational center of the All-Russia Scientific Research Institute of Fire-Prevention Defense of the EMERCOM of Russia.
