OREANDA-NEWS. September 2, 2010. The Company has spent RUR 107.95 million for labor safety actions from the beginning of the year.

The issues of ensuring safe working conditions of IDGC of North-West’s personnel were and remain one of priority lines in the policy pursued by the company’s management. 

The Company has spent RUR 107.95 million for labor safety actions from the beginning of the year. This is by RUR 6.6 million more than for the respective period of the last year. The growth was 6.6%. The labor safety charges per one employees of IDGC of North-West were RUR 7.36 thousand.

The most appreciable growth of labor safety charges per one employee in 2010 was registered IDGC of North-West’s branch “Novgorodenergo”. The charges of the grid enterprise per one employee were RUR 11.8 thousand against RUR 10.9 thousand last year. The labor safety charges per 1 employee of “Kolenergo” were increased almost 1.5 time. They increased up to RUR 8.4 thousand against RUR 6.3 thousand for the respective period of the last year. 

The company’s major part of labor safety charges are charges for provision of the personnel with personal protection devices. IDGC of North-West has spent RUR 72.5 million from the beginning of year under this item, which also exceeds the respective indicators of the last year - RUR 70.03 million.

According to the chief of IDGC of North-West’s labor safety department Roman Yakobson, the company’s charges for carrying out hygienic measures for prevention of industrial diseases increased almost twice in the reporting period. They increased up to RUR 21.1 million in the current period from RUR 11.7 million in 2009.

IDGC of North-West is the only company among IDGC Holding’s grid companies, which publishes the uniform corporate newspaper devoted to the issues of labor safety “Your Safety”. The newspaper editorial office is headed by the head of the labor safety department of the executive office Roman Yakobson. The next issue YS will be published in September.
