OREANDA-NEWS. September 02, 2010. Alexander Levkovskiy completes his work as President and Chairman of the Management Board of Promsvyazbank. Alexander Levkovskiy has decided to resign from the president’s position on his own initiative, reported the press-centre of Promsvyazbank.

Artem Konstandian, First Vice President of Promsvyazbank will be appointed as Acting President of Promsvyazbank. Following approval of his appointment by the Board of Directors and Bank of Russia, Artem Konstandian will head up Promsvyazbank.

Alexandra Volchenko, Senior Vice President, Head of Finance and Risks will assume the position of First Vice President of Promsvyazbank.

“Alexander Levkovskiy has worked at PSB for over 15 years, of which he has headed the bank for 9. During this time Promsvyazbank has become one of the leading financial institutions in Russia" – Alexey Ananiev, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Promsvyazbank said. "We are grateful to Alexander for the work he has done. At the same time, we respect his decision to finish his career at Promsvyazbank and accept his resignation.”

Alexander Levkovskiy has been President of Promsvyazbank since June 2001. During this time Promsvyazbank has become one of the leaders in the Russian banking system. Under the management of Alexander Levkovskiy the bank successfully navigated the financial crises of the 1990s and 2000s. Alexander Levkovskiy joined the bank in 1995. From 1996-2001 he headed the Treasury Division.

He was elected a member of the Management Board in 1996 and a member of the Board of Directors in 2003. His entire professional career of over 17 years has always been in banking. Alexander Levkovskiy is a member of the council of Association of Russian Banks, as well as, a member of the council of Association of regional banks of Russia. Alexander Levkovskiy was born in 1972, he graduated from the Moscow State University of Economics, Statistics and Informatics in 1994 and received his Ph.D. in economics from the State University of Management in 2002.
