OREANDA-NEWS. September 02, 2010. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) initiated a case against “FGC UES” OJSC upon the signs of violating the antimonopoly law for evading a sublease contract with “Gazprom Energo” Ltd. for power grid facilities that belong to the Unified National Power Grid, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

“FGC UES” OJSC has dominant position on the market of the services for transmitting electric power through the Unified National Power Grid. Under the law on electric power industry, this organization has exclusive rights to conclude contracts that determine the procedures for using facilities of the Unified National Power Grid with their owners.

Under the law on electric power industry, owners or other lawful possessors of power grid facilities that belong to the facilities of the Unified National Power Grid, must transfer the management of them to it to “FGC UES” OJSC.
