OREANDA-NEWS. September 01, 2010. OJSC Varyoganneftegaz (incorporated into TNK-BP) is performing well construction works ahead of its business plan since the beginning of 2010, having drilled 67 wells in this period against the planned 57 wells. Well construction wells are underway in the Verkhnelik-Eganskoe, Severo-Khokhryakovskoe, Koshelskoe, Permyakovskoe, Khokhryakovskoe, and Vanyoganskoe fields. A total of 103 wells will be drilled by the end of the year according to the business plan, reported the press-centre of TNK-BP.

Apart from that, OJSC Varyoganneftegaz is showing high performance in the mean time of submersible equipment between failures. The mean time between failures was 437 days in January 2010 and increased to 464 days in August. To extend this performance indicator to 480 days in December, the company is taking a complex of measures and using tubing with anti—corrosion coatings.

The use of inhibitors protecting equipment of from corrosion and salts allowed the company to diminish the number of failures by 7%. Currently, the operations services of the company are conducting field tests of a granulated scaling inhibitor, the use of which may considerably improve protection from salts.
