OREANDA-NEWS. August 31, 2010. Antonov state run enterprise, the major aircraft producer in Ukraine, intends to attract USD  500mn from foreign banks to expand the production, company president Dmytro Kiva announced on Aug 30. The loan is planned to be channeled to the acquisition of jet engines, space parts and materials to manufacture about 25 planes over the next three years. Mr.Kiva also said that in 2010, they plan to produce four An-148 planes.

Millennium Capital considers the news as positive for the Motor Sich (MSICH UK), the major Ukrainian aircraft engine producer. The company will expand its order book if Antonov company brings plans to life. It is important for the MSICH to diversify orders as it has experienced political pressure and tough competition on the Russian market.
