OREANDA-NEWS. August 31, 2010.  The learning seminar of Epson Europe B.V. for sellers and dealers was held at the “Ramada” Hotel on August 26, 2010. Seminar was held under support of the exclusive distributor of Epson Company in Azerbaijan – AZEL.

During the meeting Epson equipment for different market segments were presented. Special attention was paid to interactive and installed projectors, multifunctional devices, and large format printing solutions.

Eugenie Djaksimov has presented Epson projectors.  As it was noted, Epson introduced the first Epson LCD projector for sale in 1989 and today enjoys the #1 market share in worldwide micro-device market for projection systems. Today 3LCD technology powers the majority of all home theater, business and education projectors. 3LCD has brightness more than 25% on using lamp of the same power as DLP projectors. New generation of 3LCD panels ensures higher contrast:  Full HD projector Epson EH-TW5500 has contrast ratio 200 000:1. At the presentation new interactive projector EB-450 Wi and a new line of mobile EB17xx projectors with thickness only 44 mm (4, 4 sm) were demonstrated.

During the seminar new multifunctional devices Epson Stylus SX125 and Stylus SX425W with printer, scanner and copier functions and Stylus Office BX305F with printer, scanner, copier and fax function were presented. Also it was noted that some Epson models have Wi-Fi connection.

Ilya Khohlov has made presentation about Epson ink technologies. MicroPiezo Technology is an inkjet technology exclusive to Epson that has been in development since 1989. Ink is propelled directly onto print media, allowing users to enjoy a high degree of freedom in media selection. Every second ejects about 43 000 ink droplets. Advantage characteristic of MicroPiezo Technology is used not only for home and professional printing but in the different industrial fields: for printing of microchips by liquid silicon, for printing on textile, and in color filters production. Also, DuraBright Ultra inks were presented.  DURABrite Ultra Ink is an outstanding pigment-based ink technology that not only gives you the superior image quality you need, but provides the water, smudge, and light resistance you want. Seminar participants could prove water resistance of Epson inks by placing photo printed on the Epson photoprinter in glass with water. Image was not washed out.  All inks are developed and produced in Epson Company that took the 3rd place in Japan on patents according to results of 2009 year.

Epson scanners are very popular. Epson takes 1st place on the market with 36% share in money equivalent. Epson scanners are based on CCD-technologies. High quality and reliable A2 and A3 scanners Epson use advanced scanning technologies and optics, easy in use and price competitive.  After speaker's presentations participants of the event was actively involved into discussions.
