OREANDA-NEWS. August 30, 2010.  The Kazakhstan Embassy in Azerbaijan marks  the start of restoration of trade turnover between the countries after last year’s crisis fall.

Today, Kazakhstan Ambassador to Azerbaijan Serik Primbetov said that  following the results of 2010, it is possible to expect growth  of  Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan goods turnover at pre-crisis level.

"In 2007  mutual commodity turnoverbetween the countries made USD 405 million, in 2008 - USD 465 million, in 2009 – USD 236 million,” S. Primbetov said.

He explained crisis indices of 2009 by reduction of purchases of grain by Azerbaijan in Kazakhstan and strong  influence of the global crisis on the Kazakhstan economy. Kazakhstan has overcome the crisis  in 2010: in the first half of year growth of Gross Domestic  Product of the country reached 8%.
