OREANDA-NEWS. August 30, 2010. Scientists of Gazprom VNIIGAZ have been awarded several prizes of XI Gazprom’s competition for computer design and information technologies, which took place from 28 June to 2 July in St. Petersburg. 134 people from 28 subsidiary companies of Gazprom took part in the competition.

Scientists of Gazprom VNIIGAZ were awarded the second prize in the category “Best IT project” for “Specialized information system (SIS-Yamal)” project. Specialists of the branch of Gazprom VNIIGAZ in Ukhta took part in individual categories. Nikolay Pechnikov, the leading software engineer in the computer center, was awarded the first prize in the category “Best computer deign specialist”. Software engineer Alexander Knyazev was awarded the fourth prize in the category “Best IT specialist”.
