OREANDA-NEWS. August 30, 2010. The region is of strategic importance for the country’s agricultural sector. For the fist six months of the current year the region’s volume of industrial output accounted for KZT 244.8 billion.

The investment volume to the fixed capital made up KZT 70 billion. There are more than 27,000 of small and medium-sized enterprises operation in the region. The region expects to harvest 3.4 million tons of grain.       

Upon arrival the President visited the Kostanay Mill Works where he surveyed the course of realization of one of the largest investment projects in the region.

Nursultan Nazarbayev launched a new production unit on manufacturing short cut pasta.

This unique unit will run the full-cycle production and produce more than 30 thousand tones of finished production per year. The works is equipped with all modern high technology facilities.
