OREANDA-NEWS. August 27, 2010. The ceremony of putting a grain elevator with the capacity of 50,000 tons into operation took place in Ruhubelent Etrap in Dashoguz Velayat. The facility was built in accordance with the Resolution of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov by the foreign company in the vicinities of Ruhubelent settlement.

The large scale of construction of this facility is evidenced by the area it occupies. The grain elevator equipped with power and heat supply and ventilation systems designed for receiving grain delivered by motor vehicles as well as railway cars and the adjacent territory occupies a 5-hectare area.

Today, the large-scale projects aimed at developing agro-industrial infrastructure in rural areas, increasing the grain storage and processing capacity, building processing enterprises have been launched throughout the country due to the efforts of the Turkmen leader. The grain elevator in one of the youngest etraps of the country was built to achieve these goals.

The new grain elevator built nearby the tract of virgin lands is of paramount importance for the grain growing sector of Dashoguz Velayat. Wheat grain grown by agricultural workers of farmers associations of Ruhubelent Etrap and those established in virgin lands in Boldumsaz, Gubadag and S. A. Niyazov Etrap will be delivered to the elevator. The construction of the facility in immediate proximity to new wheat fields of the region will certainly enable to store wheat grown in the north of the country in a proper manner.

The ceremony that brought together the cabinet ministers, local high-ranking officials, the representative of the public organisations of the Galkynysh National Movement, mullahs, the elders and local people turned into the bright festivities, local amateur art groups and sportsmen presented the performances for ceremony participants. The expositions of bakery foods and agricultural equipment were arranged there on this occasion.
