OREANDA-NEWS. August 25, 2010. JSC RusHydro announces that five billion kilowatt-hours (kWh) of power were generated by restored hydro-units (HUs) at the Sayano-Shushenskaya HPP. At present, HU No. 6, HU No. 5 and HU No. 4, which were connected to the grid on February 24th, March 22nd and August 2nd, 2010 respectively, are operating in normal operating mode under loads of 638-640 MW each. Total output from  the three restored HUs, as of 00 o'clock on August 23rd, 2010, equaled  5,080,348 ,700 kWh.

Based on the schedule approved by the Russian Ministry of Energy, HU No. 3 will be put into operation before the end of this year, after that, the maximum operating capacity of the Sayano-Shushenskaya HPP will stand at 2,560 MW.
