OREANDA-NEWS. August 25, 2010. Sibirtelecom purchased switches for organization of Internet-access from Russian company QTECH. Siberian telecom continues the policy of supporting domestic manufacturers of telecommunication equipment.

QTECH company works 5 years on the Russian market and performs development and implementation of advanced telecommunication products and solutions. Sibirtelecom realizes the first joint project with this company. New equipment purchased by Sibirtelecom OJSC will be used for building of broadband Internet-access networks by ETTH technology in Novosibirsk and Krasnoyarsk. QTECH specialists have already carried out startup works in Novosibirsk.

Within the framework of the strategic development plan Sibirtelecom builds united up-to-date information and communication environment of Siberian Federal District. One of the activities is provision of Internet-access services. Among the suppliers of technical solutions there are domestic manufacturers of telecommunication equipment, including QTECH company. QTECH supplied switches series QSW-2900 and QSW-3900. These switches are designed for corporate and Metro Ethernet networks to provide control of services and network security.

This project is comprehensive and involves training of the telecom’s specialists. Training of the engineers of Sibirtelecom OJSC in cooperation with QTECH company is planned on the fall 2010.
