OREANDA-NEWS. August 24, 2010. SsangYong Rexton II, which was manufactured at the OOO SOLLERS-Far East factory at the end of June, has found its first buyer in Vladivostok. The off-road vehicle was sold as a Luxury model with five automatic gears with permanent four wheel drive and was purchased by a private company to fulfil their needs.

SsangYong Rexton is an off-road vehicle of deluxe class, a flagman model of SsangYong design. The cost of the Rexton II starts at 989,000 roubles. Primorye residents get a special price, they can purchase a Rexton for 900,000 roubles. For the standard price a consumer will get a diesel 2.7 motor, with four wheel drive Part Time, ESP electronic stabilisation, air bags for driver and passenger, climate control, heated seating and 2DIN audio-system.

The most affordable off-roader for Primorye residents is the SsangYong Actyon Sports pickup, which costs from 599,000 roubles.

In the Far East 86 SsangYong vehicles have already been sold, the most popular is the Kyron off-roader.

Since the factory opening in 2009 four models of off-road vehicles have been put into production: the popular Kyron, the compact Actyon, the functional Actyon Sports and the stylish Rexton. This year 6,000 off-road vehicles have already been assembled belong to the Kyron, Rexton, Actyon, Actyon Sports. By the end of 2010 it is planned to have assembled no less than 13,000 vehicles.

“We have no intention of weakening our unique rate, which was developed with the construction of the factory. Having sorted out the manufacture of four models in extremely tight time-frames, we now plan to produce new models. We will also extend our manufacturing capacity at the factory, at present we are reconstructing the second building of our enterprise, where we will set up production of the new C200 model”, observed Alexandr Korneychuk of SOLLERS-Far East.
