Regional Comstar Becomes Closer to Young Generation
OREANDA-NEWS. August 24, 2010. COMSTAR – United TeleSystems (COMSTAR-UTS, LSE: CMST), a leading provider of integrated telecommunication solutions in Russia and the CIS, announces that COMSTAR-Regions, a 100% subsidiary of COMSTAR-UTS, has launched broadcasting the first youth TV channel, O2TV, in their cable TV packages in 24 Russian cities.
O2TV exists for six years already. The channel audience includes active young people with internet connection who are interested in career growth, leisure, entertainment and communication. The channel programs are devoted to auto, music, making friends, computer games, travels, cinema, etc.
Dmitry Bagdasaryan, Deputy Director General and Commercial Director of COMSTAR-Regions, notes: “COMSTAR has an extremely wide cable TV audience in regions, and we do our best to meet the demands of all our viewers, and youth in particular, as O2TV is youth oriented channel. COMSTAR and O2TV are long-term partners. In the past, only Moscow subscribers of STREAM IPTV could watch O2TV, but now it is also available to COMSTAR TV subscribers in the following cities: Ivanovo, Ryazan, Kaluga, Tver, Orel, Severodvinsk, Saratov, Astrakhan, Akhtubinsk, Znamensk, Krasnodar, Sochi, Rostov-on-Don, Taganrog, Azov, Yekaterinburg, Nizhny Tagil, Kamensk-Uralsky, Pervouralsk, Polevskoy, Rezh, and Perm.
