Press-service of the Central Bank informs that by July 1, 2010, 148 credit organizations had licenses for the implementation of bank operations. 100 of them are non-bank credit organizations. By July 1, 2010, 47 banks have licenses in the republic, 1 of them is a national bank, and 46 are private banks. 23 banks operated with foreign investment, reported the press-centre of CBA.

The foreign investment constitutes from 50% to 100% of the chartered capital of 7 banks, and less than 50% of the chartered capital of 14 banks. The number of local branches of foreign banks is 2.

The number of local branches of operating banks is 640. 38 of them are national and 602 – private banks. The number of banks having local branches is 41, and the number of bank offices is 114. The number of bank structures operating abroad is 9. 6 of them are representations, 2 – subsidiary banks, and the other is a branch.
