OREANDA-NEWS. August 20, 2010. Automated transport monitoring system is to be introduced at Vladivostok. The pilot project was presented to the city’s Administration Head Igor Pushkarev.

The system implies equipping all public transport in the city with GLONASS/GPS, in order to avoid unauthorized leaving of the route by the drivers, long stops, etc. As a result, bus run schedule will be obeyed. 

Vladivostok Administration informs that the first 14 municipal buses have been already equipped with GLONASS. All transport vehicles in the city shall be GLONASS’ed by late 2010.
