Gomel Distillery Will Make 2,400 Deciliters of Scotch Whisky in 2010
OREANDA-NEWS. August 19, 2010. The Belarusian state-run Gomel Distillery plans to turn out 2,400 decaliters of Scotch whisky in 2010, representatives of the company’s administration told.
The company was licensed for manufacturing Scotch whisky in July 2010. According to preliminary information, Gomel Distillery plans to start manufacturing Scotch whisky in September 2010.
In January-July 2010, the company made 648,000 decaliters of vodka and distilled beverages, down 9.5% from January-July 2009. Gomel Distillery made 611,000 decaliters of vodka, down 11.1%, 13,000 decaliters of cognac, down 27.8%, and 364,000 decaliters of rectified alcohol, up 19.7%.
