OREANDA-NEWS. August 19, 2010. In the village of Velyki Sorochyntsi, Poltava region, President Viktor Yanukovych took part in the opening of the Head of State took part in the celebrations on the occasion of the annual Sorochyntsi Fair.

Addressing those present President Yanukovych congratulated them on the opening of the fair, which according to him has long ago become a trademark of Poltava region and the whole Ukraine.

“The Sorochyntsi Fair once again gives us a great opportunity to assess our achievements and show capabilities of our industrial, agricultural, commercial and tourist sector to our guests. In this cheerful, warm-hearted and generous atmosphere the foundation for close business cooperation is laid, primordial traditions are revived and cultural heritage is multiplied. It is good to know that we have something to be proud of,” said Viktor Yanukovych.
