OREANDA-NEWS. August 19, 2010. The Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Anatoly Tolstoukhov attended the opening of the exhibition of achievements of domestic industry, consumer goods, which takes place at the Government House.

"This exhibition has also a special meaning - it is dedicated to the 19th anniversary of independence of Ukraine" - Anatoly Tolstoukhov said and added that during the time of its independence the country has passed and goes though hard time trials, "but these 19 years have shown that independent Ukraine exists and always will be".

The Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers noted that the exhibition displays achievements of the real sector of the economy, the achievement of the domestic industry. In particular, products of SE Kyiv State Plant "Burevisnyk", television factory "Electron", SE "Kievprybor", Southern Machine-Building Plant, Design Bureau "Southern", Corporation "Bogdan", JSC "Turboatom".

"Many companies are trying to be adequate to the time, competitive, and to demonstrate that Ukraine will never stand still" - Anatoliy Tolstoukhov said, and added that the achievement of domestic enterprises have proven that "the world cannot exist without Ukraine, as we cannot exist without our native country".

The Minister also noted that the practice of holding exhibitions in the Government House would continue, because it is a practical demonstration of the Cabinet of Ministers activity.

In his turn, the Senior Deputy Minister of Industrial Policy Sergei Belenky noted that today's exhibition is to promote production of domestic enterprises. "The competitiveness of any economy is formed by competitive companies, and therefore the competitiveness of Ukraine is very much dependent on how the industrial enterprises will be developed.

Special attention, according to Sergei Belenky, is deserved by products of SE "Antonov": "These are modern aircraft of various capacities and different range. Particularly noteworthy are models of AN-148 and AN-158, benefiting from high demand in the domestic and foreign markets. We hope that these two models in the near future will give Ukraine significant contracts with large sums amount".
