OREANDA-NEWS. August 18, 2010.  A meeting to discuss milestones of Glonass-K design and development was held on August 17 at Russian Space Systems company. The meeting was chaired by Roscosmos Head anatoly Perminov, who started it with introductory speech.

Nikolay Testoyedov, General Designer and DG of Reshetnev ISS made a presentation on the progress  of Glonass- K development.

The other reports made by officials of Roscosmos companies were related to design and development of the Glonass support equipment. They included: 
•  command and measurement  system, onboard data and navigation system, onboard relay rescue system payloads – Yury Urlichich, Russian Space Systems DG- General Designer,
•   onboard synch system, onboard angle measurement system – Arkadii Tuliakov, RIRV company Deputy General Designer,
•   onboard equipment  – Yury Vagin, NPK SPP Deputy General Designer;
•  Sun and Earth pointing, solar tracing sensors – Mikhail Pirogov, NPP Geophysica- Cosmos General Designer,
•   small accelerometer – Alexander Fadeev, TSENKI DG.
•   results of the work done by Glonass-K special commission established by Roscosmos to supervise Glonass-K progress – Gennady Raikuniv, TSNIIMAsh DG, Deputy Chairman of the Commission,
•   readiness of the launch, ground and other facilities – Alexander Ivanov, Deputy Commander of the Space Forces.
In his conclusion, Roscosmos Head Anatoly Perminov emphasized that it was necessary to maintin reliability and quality of the first Glonass-K: “I ask you not to make any compromise here. If you are not sure in anything, you better resets it, or update. Please, take into account all the proposals made".
  The meeting was also attended by Roscosmos Deputy Head Anatoly Shilov, Head of Roscosmos Directorate Sergey Vladimirov and other officials.
