Preliminary queues of offers were made of the following open tenders “Construction works of object “Construction of Quay No.143a and shore reinforcement in Malku bay: III stage of construction – construction of remaining part of quay No.143a; IV stage of construction – shore reinforcement in Malku bay““ and “Construction works of the object “Reconstruction of Quays No.8 and No.9 planning I, II, III stages of construction in Klaipeda. II stage of construction – reconstruction of southern part of quay No. 8 (90 m) . III stage of construction – reconstruction of quay No.9 (I construction queue)““, reported the press-centre of Klaipeda Port.
 
1. Open tender “Construction works of object “Construction of Quay No.143a and shore reinforcement in Malku bay: III stage of construction – construction of remaining part of quay No.143a; IV stage of construction – shore reinforcement in Malku bay““.

The envelopes of the present open tender were opened on 21 June 2010. Seven tenderers submitted their offers to construct Quay No.143a near the territory rented by of UAB Klaipeda container terminal, among the tenderers – only one Lithuanian company which submitted tender offer independently, and other tenderers – consortia with foreign companies or only foreign companies from Germany, Poland, Latvia, Estonia and Russia.
 
Preliminary queue of offers for the aforesaid tender was made on 5 August 2010:

I  place – AB “BMGS“ operating on the basis of joint activity contract with UAB “Hidrostatyba“, price of the tender offer - 16 314 477,13 LTL including VAT.

II place – Josef Mobius Bau-Aktiengesellschaft, price of the tender offer 17 061 835,10 LTL including VAT.

III place – AS “Merko Ehitus“ operating on the basis of joint activity contract with UAB “Getelit“, price of the tender offer 18 900 785,41 LTL including VAT.

IV place – Hydrobudowa Gdansk operating on the basis of joint activity contract with UAB “Keliu remonto grupe“ and UAB “Garant“, price of the tender offer 22 680 872,37 LTL including VAT.

V place – AB “Latvijas tilti“, price of the tender offer 25 397 800,19 LTL including VAT.
 
Other tender offers were rejected as not complying with the requirements of the aforesaid tender.
Quay No.143a will be 290 m long, depth at the quay – 10 m. The quay will be designed to handling rapidly increasing container flow in the southern part of the port, and the reinforced shore of the channel will ensure the stability of Smelte peninsula shores after dredging works in Malku bay. Calculated cost of construction works of the aforementioned quay was around 20 million litas.
 
Duration of contractual works – 12 months from the undersigning of the contract.
 
2. Open tender “Construction works of the object “Reconstruction of Quays No.8 and No.9 planning I, II, III stages of construction in Klaipeda. II stage of construction – reconstruction of southern part of quay No. 8 (90 m) . III stage of construction – reconstruction of quay No.9 (I construction queue)“.

The envelopes of the present open tender were opened on 22 June 2010. Seven tenderers submitted their offers to reconstruct quays No.8 and No.9 near the territory rented by of Klaipeda stevedoring company “KLASCO”, among the tenderers  – one Lithuanian company which submitted tender offers independently. Other tenderers - consortia of Lithuanian companies with foreign companies or only foreign companies from Germany, Poland, Latvia, Estonia and Russia.

I place – Josef Mobius Bau-Aktiengesellschaft, price of the tender offer 24 037 622,83 LTL including VAT.

II place – AS “Merko Ehitus“ operating on the basis of joint activity contract with UAB “Getelit“,price of the tender offer 26 446 970,09 LTL including VAT.

III place – AB “Latvijas tilti“,price of the tender offer 26 568 556,97 LTL including VAT.

IV place – AB “BMGS“ operating on the basis of joint activity contract with UAB “Hidrostatyba“, price of the tender offer 26 857 155,09 LTL including VAT.

V place – Hydrobudowa Gdansk operating on the basis of joint activity contract with UAB “Keliu remonto grupe“ and UAB “Garant“, price of the tender offer 34 761 829,42 LTL including VAT.
 
Other tender offers were rejected as not complying with the requirements of the aforesaid tender.
 
The total length of reconstructed quays No. 8 and No. 9 is 255 m (length of quay No. 8 – 90 m, quay No. 9 – 165 m). Harbour waters at the quays will reach up to 14,5 m so it would be possible to service vessels with 13 m draft. Calculated cost of construction works of the aforesaid object was around 30 million litas.
 
Duration of contractual works – 15 months after undersigning of the agreement.
