OREANDA-NEWS. August 17, 2010.  Situational Awareness Center in Ryazan will maintain permanent operations. The decision was made by the Governor of the region Oleg Kovalev.

The Center founded in 2010 provides real-time monitoring of the passenger transport due to GLONASS technologies. The data acquired in the Center help responding promptly to accidents, making effective steps, including fire extinguishing in the current situation.

698 transport vehicles have been equipped with GLONASS in the region so far. Navigation data system is successfully introduced in Ryazan region. Local Administration recognizes the use of innovative space solutions for the benefits of agricultural, forest, road and other services.
